One of the weak points of a manufactured/mobile home is the lack of sufficient insulation. We have been having great success by using some form of insulation along with coatings or single-ply roofing over the metal roof. Here are several options you can consider:

– Protect your roof with a 1 ½ inch layer of high quality insulation board covered by the durable single-ply TPO membrane or Benchmark Ply elastomeric roofing system. This complete roofing system kit can be custom made to be installed on your roof. This maintenance-free system will add value to your building and will drastically reduce heating and cooling costs.

– The foam system will deliver exceptional energy efficiency throughout the year. On roofing applications, combine these benefits with the proven protection of ENERGY STAR rated coatings and you have a system designed to stand the test of time.

This last system does not provide insulation, but it does provide good reflectivity of heat during the summer. It is the Conklin Metal Restoration system. With the MR System all seams are reinforced with fabric (the best and most flexible fabric in the market) reinforcement embedded in acrylic elastomeric roof coatings. Exposed fasteners are sealed from the elements with premium caulking. Finally, the entire surface of the roof is protected with an elastomeric roof coating. This system is an effective method for preserving an existing metal roof without the need for costly metal repairs or replacement.
